Will Goodwin is a Forensic Geneticist based at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in Preston, UK.  He has been working on projects involving the identification of human remains since 1994, initially at the Human identification Centre at the University of Glasgow and since 2002 at UCLan.
He is a member of the ICRC’s Forensic Advisory Board and has worked as a consultant for the ICRC in various contexts, including Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Indonesia, Philippines, the Balkans, Ukraine, Egypt, El Salvador, Brazil and Argentina.
Will is also a technical assessor for the United kingdom Accreditation Service, and has been involved in assessing laboratories in the UK and Middle East  to the ISO17025 standard.
